SHOW REVIEW: Diving Below With Beartooth and The Below Tour

Updated: Aug 6, 2023

Let’s start right out by saying, this tour is not one to miss. Beartooth's The Below Tour made its stop in Richmond, Virginia at The National on April 22 featuring a stacked lineup including ERRA, The Devil Wears Prada, and Silverstein.

Before Beartooth even came on, I was already in awe. Every single opening band did an amazing job getting the crowd warmed up and ready. With an almost sold-out show, the room was packed from front to back. Caleb Shomo’s energy alone is a big reason I always hit at least one show every tour. Caleb always gets super into and personal with the crowd, especially regarding mental health awareness and his own personal mental health struggles.

Personally for me what really makes or breaks my opinion on a band is definitely their stage presence, and Beartooth definitely takes the cake on this one. The crowd was going insane to match their energy. No matter which direction you look, there was always a mosh pit or crowd surfers, or just someone losing their mind. Not to mention the killer setlist and Confetti!! Right before they officially started their set, confetti was everywhere! They played so many songs off their discography ranging from below, to disease, to body bag, and just watching people scream along to every single word was so heartwarming.

If the below tour is hitting a city near you, you DO NOT wanna miss this one. Every band's performance definitely exceeded my expectations and I can say I would love nothing more than to see every single one of them again.
